How many times can the pieces suddenly fall into place, everything becomes clear, only to have Hannah get it wrong? Hannah repeatedly moans about her stupidity, which is actually one thing she gets right. She is also a self-centered drama queen. The mystery has the potential to be compelling, but never gets there. The narrative is numbingly repetitive. Once I upped the audiobook narration speed and learned to fast forward through rumination about Will’s sexy crooked smile, things picked up. This was a fine listen while exercising or gardening, but I’m glad I didn’t sit down on a nice rainy day hoping for a good read. I would have wasted the rainy day
