I love the concept of the show, but I see some things that I don’t agree with. For example, In the episode with the family with the 3 girls, she takes out the shear walls. A gravity load bearing wall may also be a shear wall (seismic resisting wall). In this case, the removal of a shear wall would require other modifications of the structure to provide the required lateral resistance to earthquakes.
