Khaled Hosseini's, And the mountains echoed is a remarkable tale of a boy named Abdullah and his little sister Pari. Abdullah is a protective brother whose love for his little sister knows no bounds but as fate would have it, Abdullah gets seperated from Pari when Pari is just 2 years old. Abdullah carries a void in his heart for all his life while Pari still had the luxury of forgetting due to her youth. But God works in mysterious ways we don't understand and they meet, when thier hair have turned grey and life has happened. This story loosely revolves around many other characters like Abdulla's step uncle Nabi. It is only due to a letter left behind my uncle Nabi that Pari finds out about her long lost brother. It is a heart wrenching tale where every character has thier own story, thier own suffering. The tale is about love, abondonment, heartache. Certainly not an easy to forget tale by Khaled Hosseini.
