Tiresome vanity project by the insufferable Cage.

I really want to love this show. It's visually stunning with an authentic location, impeccable costuming and props and beautifully directed and filmed. I agree with many who compare it with What We Do In The Shadows, Monty Python and The Office. However, what falls flat for me are the dubbed American voices. Part of what is so funny about WWDITS, Monty Python and The Office are the real actors voices. The comedians in these shows put everything they have into being funny, including their own voice. Imagine Nandor's voice dubbed in by your local channel 5 weatherman and you get the picture. You can't have the full Nandor without his own crazy Al Qolnidar accent. I don't even consider the Americans who dubbed the voices "actors". It just sounds like they are reading a library book. I know the 1670 actors are speaking Polish. I think it would be so much funnier (and authentic) if they dubbed in Eastern European accented voices. I will keep watching and hope it grows on me.

Lazy...juvenile...tedious. I'd rather be sitting in the dentist's office waiting room scrolling through my phone.
