The book in and of itself it poorly written with a mediocre and clichéd plot hook and possibly the most predictable story progression in any written work (yes - this book was more predictable than The Very Hungry Caterpillar). With that in mind, I'd also like to point out that the auther is a violent Islamophobe & misogynist, who insisted a woman should be sexually assaulted in front of her kids and rammed into her car. This woman's crime? Being against genocide.

Iron Flame felt rushed - more time should have been given for editing and cleaning up the book, as there were some odd chapters were the writing was a little all over the place. I also feel that Xaden & Violet's characterisation/personalities were changed drastically to allow conflict between the two as well as to make the plot flow in specific directions. That being said, I enjoyed the world building & expansion of lore that we got and the twists/climax were well-written and emotionally driven.
