I remember seeing the original David Lynch 1984 film. And although it failed at the box office, what it did have - that this version sorely lacks - was a sense of 'alienness'. It had great - non CGE effects - and a great cast - ok we forgive Sting. What this has is the usual CGE effects and a bunch of young soulless actors that I've never heard of. Not that impressed.
