A beautiful story, with thoughtful illustrations. My 3 children, aged 3 to 9, all enjoy reading it and I had goosebumps the first time I read it to them. It is so easy to initiate a curious conversation with my children as we read and look at the pictures. It engages with both how we view ourselves physically and also how we feel about ourselves and others emotionally. Nevenka has pulled a strong message and conversation starter into a fun children's book, and it has become one of our favourites. We'll be on the lookout for future installments from this author!
