It’s hard to make a movie based on a ride while still keeping the same nostalgic and magic feel to it. It’s been proven time and time again with the exception of Pirates. However, this movie comes pretty close. The references to the ride are perfect and go into a lot of detail, including some portraits, quotes, and ghosts some have probably never noticed before on the ride. I heard this movie was not good beforehand, and honestly at the beginning, I thought it was gonna be true. It started kind of slow and cheesy, but give it a chance to get there. While I enjoyed the movie, nothing will ever compare to the ride for me, so I almost view this movie as a separate project, which is why I can’t give it a 5 out of 5. Also, out of all the small details and references, there were no singing busts which really had me disappointed. But overall, a good movie.
