I think it was a good adaptation. The moments that pull you in, really pull you in. Saying that, alot of moments feel as if they are forced or out of place. Maybe they had some editing problems. Ottos transformation from a bitter old man to a man who learns to live again seems to go out of sync with the story at times. But all in all, it certainly had a message to tell. But the film didn't seem too certain we would get it.
