The ritual (spoiler warning) The film started fine little slow but… Not enough happened in the film. Dragged on and on, the ending was disappointing I feel as the ending wasn’t impact full in any sense bit of a waste of time, honestly. The concept in the other hand. A cult of people worshiping a “god” like creature. I reckon it had a lot of potential. If they had more action or lore. It was a 135 min film, 30 mins was story telling and was necessary the other 105 mins was a waste of my time. At the end they could have made the creature more feral, it seemed timid and yet hardly aggressive. The best part of the film was the old woman getting punched in the face.
