Very disappointed. I was really looking forward to this game, but it’s awful. Save your money and play NG+x Nioh 2, Sekiro, Bloodborne or whatever. Wo Long is grinding drudgery with the same deflection mechanic in every single fight, and it gets extremely tedious and boring very quickly. The morale system is even more of a chore and requires more grinding to get back to a competitive level. I’ve repeatedly played and beaten Nioh 2, Bloodborne, all the Souls games and Elden Ring; they are fun and enjoyable. Wo Long is an uninspired chore of a game, not even close to keeping company with the aforementioned.

Follows the book fairly closely, and the acting is well done, but the constant flashbacks are annoying. The director should have cut the truly cringe-worthy “singing”.
