I believe Pulang Araw is a well written and good story. The make-up, costume design, and most of the cast are believable. The film directing of other parts of the series, however, is not convincing.

A Japanese culture, Geisha, beautifully explained and understood through cinema. Truly enlightening. Also, I like the storyline from the beginning through the middle to the end. A story of a lonesome poor fisherman's girl sold to a Geisha house finds hope, and inspiration when a gentle kindhearted man notices her sadness and cheers her up with respect. Determined to find a way to see and get closer to him again, she prays and finds her way by making herself a highly skilled sought after Geisha. A ravishing love story.
