I came in with no loyalty to the book so I think I had a clean pallet. The concept is really good. The dialogue of the child characters is “hello my fellow adolescents” terrible. The writing in general is very shallow in some places and the plot does that thing where characters don’t tell each other important info because conflict needs to happen and to preferred magnitude. I don’t read or watch King and if this is it, I’m good. I’m just so upset because I devoted time to watching it. What a wasted concept.
