Putting it simply - this was the blandest movie I have ever seen. I was able to predict what was going to happen way earlier than the main plot even began (I had not watched the original movie). It uses tired stereotypes and worthless character arcs. The dialogue bored me. It tries to look socially aware to appeal to the younger generation, but they are not stupid. The movie does not actually do anything to challenge any norms (sexism, class division, etc), it just tries to look the part. There is no creativity, no energy, no effort. I have seen young children write better than this.
To add, stop giving people who are famous for no reason acting careers. There are so many up and coming new actors who would smash it out of the park with an opportunity you could easily give them. I know you desire money, there is no problem with that, but do not do it the lazy way. Hire people who are actually talented and deserving of the spotlight. It will pay off in the long run, it would be a win-win situation.
