Characters acted their parts convincingly well. The plot describes a life experience that happens more often than popular media admits but believers in Jesus can well relate to. It may look far fetched to someone who does not understand and may even be indifferent. But if one is just honest with himself, he'll readily see that the life experiences portrayed in this movie happen to families in the USA.
The script are well written as well in the choice of words that unearth the deep feelings and groaning of the heart that is hurting.
This movie helped both my wife and I realize the spiritual warfare we are in and how prayer and reliance on God and mentorship by other believers can make a difference in our lives. We rely on God and be humble enough to accept advice from other believers.
Kudos to the Kendrick brothers for coming up with a quality movie worth watching with the family. We need more encouraging movies like this!
