Not nearly as good as the first film. The actors are great but I found the plot laborious and irritating. I couldn’t wait for the end.

Timing is everything. I watched this from home on Holy Saturday while sheltering in place due to Covid19. No liturgical experience has ever conveyed or will ever convey the truth of the Passion in the way this film has. The film is not perfect but I will be forever grateful for it—and for asking me questions that must not be avoided during the holiest days of Holy Week.
