For Jordan Peele fans and for fans looking for nuiances and homages to other movies there is something for you. For the general public you will mostly be dissapointed. Personally, I thought the first thirty minutes or so was decent and from there it just fell flat. There were charaters and themes introduced that were just not explored enough such as the filmmaker. To me there was not definite direction to the movie. One minute you think it should be a comedy and the next you have attempted dramatic acting. Sometimes the acting or dialogue felt out of place. Also, towards the end when the "Alien" was shown it was not scary at all. If you have seen a lot of horror or scifi films such as me the alien structure and CGI is very underwhelming and not at times laughable. It almost seems that was the point, however mixed with some of the attempted dramatic acting and scenes it just didn't make sense.I Felt it would have been a much better movie as a comedy with different actors and dialogue. This isn't the worst movie out there but not very good which is shown in the box office numbers.

This a good movie, but this Batman portrayal just isn't for me. There is one shot in the beginning where it shows Pattinson in a shirt and he just doesn't have the physicality or presence in my opinion. The settings and dark mood of the film are great, but again I just cannot accept Pattinson in the lead role. Also, the riddler portrayal was very strange and I wasn't a fan. The riddler just looks like a weird geek maniac, nothing special. The costume was a bad choice, some weird mask and a random jacket with some question marks. Also, the 3 hour length was way too much. In my opinion, I don't believe this film would be grossing what it is or have the reviews if we weren't still getting back to normalcy from Covid relating to movie production and new movies available.I feel like I watched just a long dark crime movie and not a Batman film.
