I think Jim is a selfish reprehensible buffoon with hardly a trace of redeeming value. I cannot find anything with which to relate to the character. I go out of my way to avoid this sewerage.

It is allowed to grow slowly and blossom gently into a vital flower. Truly deep and restrained performances across the board. A delicate directorial touch and a sure vision. Real, gritty, yet a leaf floating beautifully downstream. See it more than once.

This was wonderful. It defied cliches as to its subject matter. The scene in the restaurant was movie magic at its best. Put aside your preconceptions. Watch. Enjoy. Like Hazel Grace and Gus, just let this movie be what it is. I love it.
