The story of time traveling back from the future is an anachronism for all of us who wish that we could travel back in time to correct past mistakes or to steer the future into a better direction (see season 3, episodes 2 and 3). The mix of high technology, the workings of a police organization like the FBI, the ethical challenges and the connections to current events in our world is a great intellectual mix that ties all of these stories from episode to episode together. It's a very good story line.
