I am watching both The Rings of Power and The House of Dragon and hands down it’s The Rings of Power so far. I’m enjoying both but have found the ROP to be so enjoyable in the cinematic talents of the filmmakers and writers . The story line has tied in seamlessly and I find myself constantly making exclamations of clarity from the LOTR and Hobbit storylines. An interesting blend of characters this time around and seeing bloodlines and races of the central players coming into development and explaining their departures or separation in later generations but adding a fresh perspective in the molding of these entities in this production . This was glaringly missing in Mr. Jackson’s directing endeavors and now has a chance to show why and where these races and entities went and perhaps why. It’s easy to see how the production cost have been achieved as nothing has been spared in the crafting of this Rings of Power filming and its quality is in every episode so far. As a lifelong Tolkien fan who bears not only it’s written and film fanaticism in my heart and sole, I carry these storylines and characters as testament on my body with tattoos to be carried with me to the end. Thank you Amazon for continuing this storyline and wonderment for another generation of Ring fans to be born.

I want to say things I should have said to my wife after watching this, his desire to have one more conversation with Oto left me pausing to breathe as I let that line sink in. I caught myself nodding my head in agreement and realizing I will never have that blessing again. I’m glad I found this brilliant and peaceful offering from a director I’ve not experienced before, that’s one regret that I won’t have to look back on.
