I want to like this, I really do. I love science fiction shows and movies! The premise is good but this falls short because it becomes more and more propaganda the further you get into the series. Climate change is a natural occurrence. Warm ups lead to ice ages and the Earth has seen 5 ice ages in its 4.5 billion years of life. Climate change is not a new phenomenon. Climate change is a naturally occurring process. Do I think humans have contributed to it? Yes, but the amount is debatable. Believe it or not we are actually in an active ice age. The ice age has not ended. Striking during the time period known as the Pleistocene Epoch, this ice age started about 2.6 million years ago and lasted until roughly 11,000 years ago. Like all the others, the most recent ice age brought a series of glacial advances and retreats. In fact, we are technically still in an ice age. The funny thing is climate change fear mongering is an extremely successful strategy to increase profits across the board. That is all it is. So it’s ironic in the case of this show. I think this show could have been so much better if it removed all the toxic fear mongering and propaganda. Human beings are amazing. We are not the problem.
