Natura – Google

I did not like Little fires everywhere of the same author but at least I finished the book. Not this one, I abandoned it almost immediately. perhaps I am growing tired of dystopias since all look the same regardless of the author. Not sure why this work of fiction was praised so much, it is boring, the story line doesn't look plausible, full of cliches and the characters were uninteresting (for me).

I wanted to like this series, but after episode 5 I am giving up, they should have packed the whole story in three or four chapters, no more. The classical murder mystery line was interesting, coupled with the sci fiction part of the same body appearing in the same place at different years (1890, 1943, 2023 and 2053) with four detectives investigating it. The problem for me was that they invest a lot of time in the investigation of the murder, including needless details on the detective's personal lives (nothing really of any use), when the murder itself was only a small part of the main story, which is presented in a fragmented way. There are many holes to the story as well, even for sci fiction time travel. I also dislike the need that nowadays many tv series seems to have, of presenting pop music here and there.
