This is such a great book. But why would Sofia want to get the 'new penicillin drug' in 1940 when it wasn't even human tested (a failure) until 1941 and mass production didn't begin until 1943/44? Now, I feel it has spoiled it for me. Why not go for a Sulfanilomide like Prontosil?
