I saw the trailer for this and was very excited because it gave Blade Runner sci-fi vibes but watching it was really disappointing. The trailer spoils much of the first ~20 minutes. The idea had so much potential but the execution was poor; it’s boring but trying hard to be artistic/poetic. None of the characters really ever get a good backstory and the world building could have been more than just a neat CGI backdrop. The story is spelled out for you through Jackman’s really unnecessary narration that feels like lazy writing. It’s a fine movie if you like action and a shallow mystery, but nothing amazing and I probably won’t watch it again.
