I was impressed with his experience and credibility. That was until I got to the part where Mr. Stevens mentioned a fact that Republicans state as fact but don't really believe. He then ruined the point (and his own cred) by saying no one believes this any more than communicants believe they really are eating and drinking the body and blood of Christ.
Mr. Stevens, you are welcome to reject that truth that I believe as a practicing Catholic. What you are not welcome to do is present it as a fact for everyone. Not true and not fair.
Even though I support The Lincoln Project, this comment forces me to question your credibility on everything else you say.
