What a huge disappointment. I have enjoyed every previous Gabriel Allon book but this one had me seriously considering closing the book without finishing it. A note to Daniel Silva: If I want to be preached to, I will attend a religious service. Those of us seeking release from current American politics do not expect to find it so blatant and one sided in "novels" that have been, in the past, much more generic. I hated the last third of this book and will not be so quick to purchase your books in the future. The only good part of this review is, because of covid, I borrowed the ebook from my library instead of purchasing for my bookshelf. No money for you, Mr Silva...you don't deserve it.
