I agree with most reviews, great to see a lot of original cast back. I too was afraid to watch this as I thought it would not be decent, but to my surprise it was very enjoyable. There is a lot of hate on the nostalgic from the first movie but totally different point of views from his childhood to now his adulthood and fatherhood. I thought it was a good movie probably could have been improved in some areas but overall a good movie. I can always appreciate someone's work and effort.
All the nostalgia towards the Old Man got me sentimental, especially when the mom found his Christmas gift stash, Ralphie sitting in his chair, the references very touching. The Old Man was one of my favorite characters played perfect by Darren Mcgavin.
I especially appreciate just how it all tied in at the end.
