If you have never read western novels/books, particularly American and European (German) literature, it is most likely that you will not appreciate the tremendous job Netflix has done on Godless, at its fullest. I read many negative reviews, complaining how slow the show is and so on, which proves my point - those people haven't touched a western novel or a book in their life. The show isn't going "slow" at all - the story is as classic and old-fashioned as a western plot could be. The cast is amazing, cinematography is amazing and so is the soundtrack! If you expect Godless to be the next action tv show, filled with cliches all over, violence, blood and gore in 90% of the scenes and episodes, then you will most likely be disappointed!
