The plot of this movie is a bit predictable, but the set design and costumes were magical, and the movie overall was entertaining and interesting to watch. I was watching this movie with a seven-year-old who is easily scared, and at the end, she proclaimed it her new favorite. It doesn't have to be deep to be a good adaption. Overall, Disney did a good job, and I think Maleficent is underrated.
