TLDR: Don’t waste your time or money on this movie. Barbie is a sexist misandrist movie which takes male bashing to a new extreme. The movie indiscriminately criticizes all men (Kens) for disenfranchising women and failing to treat women as individuals, and then turns around and glorifies the same treatment of men. In the end, the Kens end up where they started- disenfranchised and unhoused. There is a scene in Barbie where it is explained that the doll should be embraced as a vessel to project inspiring ideas to its fanbase of young impressionable girls. Barbie, the movie, takes that wisdom to mean that girls should embrace the idea of indiscriminately doing unto all males as was done unto women of past generations. The world doesn’t need any more such hatred.
