If they changed the names of the characters, Child's Play wouldn't even come to mind. They just used the name for publicity and the movie itself is borderline comedic. The plot quickly becomes predictable and there are so many things added to the story that either doesn't make sense or it just plain stupid. It's an over uses troupe with really no attempt to make it original and it's clear they slapped chucky's face on there hoping it would become popular. Also, the doll looks atrocious and I don't appreciate the "modern spin" they tried to put on it by making it something similar to Alexa. Why would something used for home security and control also be advertised or referred to as a "toy" for kids to cuddle with? Pick one movie.
