Haven't seen the British version, but for an American sitcom it's great! the characters are fun and the humor well written. So many of the U.S. sitcoms are childish cartoons or tiresome contemptable humor. We watch a lot of PBS and British movies and if the U.S. wants to upgrade their primetime stuff they need to take heed. Even the U.S. drama shows are less engaging or more interested in sex and so many are just about crime, which I see enough of that on the news. Time to get with the new millennium...check out "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu...another great show up for an Emmy. As for Ghosts, we're hooked!
