Played this on my PS4 pro. I could see how Detroit is a improved version from this game.
Good
- audio, voice acting, music - play it with good speakers of head phones!
- nice story and characters, nice wardrobes too!
- I like it that the story was played back and forth of Jodie's life.
Not so good
- some scenes were too dark to see, esp the house basement scene with Young Jodie, Africa night mission.
(That's when I realized that the HDR setting in Detroit was one of the improvement).
- unclear controls during combat/sequences, it is not clear for the player to hit with which stick direction. (Again, Detroit did a good by adding indication of the buttons/directions to hit during sequences).
- unclear scenes. Eg the chapter of meeting Jodie's mom at the hospital, I thought knocking out the CCTV cameras could make a difference, but it didn't. The end of chapter decisions also didn't mentioned anything abt it like 50% of players knocked out all CCTV.
Overall, this is a nice game to play, definitely an improved version from Heavy Rain to say the least. Will recommend people to play Beyond if they are curious to see the previous development of the game producers and for the nice storyline and characters.
