The trailer was better than the whole movie itself. The movie went into the BASIC problem of being tall and went with the dumbest "problem" that a tall person could go through, "how's the weather up there?"
This movie is like any other teen rom-com movie, cliche self-discovery and the plot does not get any thicker, even the main character is bland. I heard of the actress's problem facing being tall growing up, and you know what? If she inserted her problems like that into the movie plot, it would've been better. But then again, she was in a reality tv show WHILE GROWING UP, of course, they're gonna pinpoint the obvious "flaw" to add flavor to the show!!
It would've been better if she WAS facing physical problems from being tall in Tall Girl. Now that's a problem and worth watching.
It is also so funny how she's the only TALL GIRL in the school even among boys. Where the heck does she live in California to which there is nobody else taller?? But only a Swedish guy who comes into the school who is?? Shut the hell up.
And let's be real, no one really accepts themselves when they're in high school. No one is that confident to announce to homecoming that they ain't' gonna stand up to the bullying and "I am going to accept myself for who I am". No, they're only gonna announce that they're leaving this damn hell hole of a school at the end of the year.
I do hate the acting a bit and it's not really the actresses/actors' fault. It was so awkward to watch, mostly from the father. Honestly, I get they were told to act funny, but what?? Like that?
On an ending note, because I can go on and on, the movie was not so interesting.
