I was first introduced to this paranormal TV reality when TAPS appeared.... Having that to reference as to whether what was being shown was real or not. It never failed Jason would always find a chair to sit in and speak into the dark with the comment "Did you hear that"!?!??!?! Or he'd lay on a bed.................Guess so tired at his Roto Rooter day-time job.
That show proved false by one of its own characters who spoke openly about how so much was staged..................Now I do have to say she was one of the members that had gotten fired....But I think it's safe to say every show was hokey at best.
Then came along Ghost Adventures from a completely different perspective.
I never witnessed any member contriving an incident and they (Zak and Erin) would always try to DEBUNK a sound, a light, a shadow. Wanting to disprove something spoke volumes as to their credibility. They wanted the truth more than just to entertain.
I've watched many of their episodes and to this day I've never seen a situation that was staged or made up. I mean come on, you can only do so much editing with all the hours they capture and we don't really know how many times they've visited a place where nothing was ever captured otherwise that episode probably would never air. And we know there is pressure to produce something even if 'Out of thin air'!
No, a lot of time and thought and research goes into the making of an episode and I feel it is genuine. I feel as though Zak would not compromise his passion and thirst for evidence at the expense of the audience.
He genuinely wants to 'Know' what's happening around us but we just can't see it with the naked eye.
Good job guys!
