Yes, it's a bit slow at the beginning but that's to give you a full description of each character. Understanding their personalities is important because it will come into play later in the movie. The concept is good and the little girl playing Abigail is great. She's a Scottish actress, who just did Matilda with a British accent, and in this movie, she has an American accent. Knowing how well-rounded she is as an actor shows how good at acting she is. Since this movie is horror people expect it to be serious but since it has a bit of comedy in it, it's not going to be like that. The acting is light-hearted but fits the movie and the characters. It's worth watching at least once!

This was an excellent film! I feel like the acting was great! Everyone is saying how Elodie screamed every 5 minutes but you have no idea how dragon fire feels when it's burned on you. I would be screaming as well, the running and getting out of breath, it shows good acting which I don't know why no one understands. The CGI on the dragon is spot-on completely. Yes, no one would survive a fall like that but I feel like the movie put those branches and twigs there to slow the fall down so she would survive. I would love to see a second movie. The only reason she didn't show the cut on her hand is the mere shock of seeing a dragon, everything that happened with the prince, etc. In that situation I would have no idea what to do or think, I would just try my hardest to survive like she did.
