I didn't like this book at all. It's about two young women going abroad for an adventure, then acting in an irresponsible way, in essence behaving like a pair of chavs. Nothing funny in that. For example, they were given generous help by strangers when in big trouble, then repaid this generosity by getting blind drunk on the family's store of beer and damaging the house. I hope that lovely family don't think this is typical of Brit conduct. Surely, if you act in such a disgraceful way, you keep it under your hat, not write a book detailing it all.

A good read, and very interesting to those who like walking, or like the Thames, or in my case, both. And well written, nice sense of humour. I have walked the Thames Path and after learning so much from this book, I'll be doing it again with fresh eyes. One small nit-picking point - Tom needs to learn the difference between sliver and slither.
