A lot of people might say Under the Cork Tree is their best album, and in the words of FOB I say 'but I digress'. This album is Fall Out Boy's Magnus Opum, the spearheads of emo and pop punk certainly deliver on point. Not taking anything away from the former, it's a very raw and point hitting album. However, living up to the hype they set for themselves and the bar so high, this album does lives upto the name. The band is more nuanced and the production is superb. Talking about the songs, the long titles continue but the songs remain great, my favourites being 'This ain't a scene, It's an Arms race', 'I'm like a lawyer with the way I am always trying to get you off', 'Hum Hallelujah', 'Bang the Doldrums' and of course the all time great 'Thanks for the Mmrs'. The album has a lot of ups and downs. It's like a journey in life and I assure you will be glad you completed it.
