Final Fantasy 14 is a game that is loving crafted by the developers to consistently deliver a superb experience. Whether its tough battles, amazing story, intricate (but understandable) and relaxing crafting, or a very unique take on PVP, FFXIV has something for everyone; and not only that but these elements are individually well designed to encourage you to try out each element at your own pace. It is difficult to summarize why I think this game is worthy of your time, but in short, FFXIV largely respects your time depending on what YOU want to do. Beyond that it has a fantastic community that is really gung-ho (and honestly slanted toward) helping out new players. The majority of players you will meet are friendly and typically frown upon toxic behavior. Of course, with any game there are cons as well: being an MMO, it will take time to get into the better content, $12.99/month does feel steep when starting out (but you will a free window of time to try it out as much as you like to see if FFXIV is for you), and the game's systems can seem somewhat confusing until you get the hang of it. Overall, I find that FFXIV is a rich experience that can provide years of excellent content to dive into (I've been playing since fall 2013). The story is incredible and simply just keeps getting better, the devs listen to players and really seem to care about us, and the community is loving and dedicated to making a great experience for everyone. P.S. THE SOUNDTRACK IS FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC
