Over the Easter Holidays I was given the “Snow Pirate” to read by the local author Mr David John Mason and asked to write a review.
This book is amazing and keeps you caught in the story. It starts off with young Edward from Brixtown missing his mum and not getting his letter off to Father Christmas in time. He then runs away in the middle of the night from his dad’s home and goes on a journey to try and see his mum. This is on a wintery cold night the day before Christmas Eve. Little does he know though he is about to meet a lovely man, The Snow Pirate, who helps him with his journey after he becomes lost on the way. This man and their journey help him remember the love for his family, the wonder of words and what the Christmas spirit is all about. This book I would recommend to anyone who wants a really good book to read filled with adventures. I have dyslexia and the writer has helped me to be able to read a book from cover to cover in his style of writing and the text size used. Thank you Mr Mason for such a good book.
