CATS was my introduction to the musical world. I remember my dance teacher putting this on for the class to watch and everyone was either weirded out, bewildered, or both. I had no idea what was going on and dismissed it, but I never really did forget it. Now that I’m older I can confidently say that this musical will always hold a special place in my heart, there is simply nothing like it. It took me about five more watches to understand what exactly was going on, but even then a lot of aspects are left up to interpretation. I feel like CATS is one of those things where people either love it or hate it, very little is conventional about it. I love it more and more with each watch.
