Dull, implausible and sentimental. Angry old electronics genius apocalypse survivor builds an AI robot to look after his dog. The robot manages to instantly acquire human emotions like guilt, joy, excitement and sadness while taking ages to learn how to walk, drive or do anything practical. At one point a mysterious car follows them, coming dangerously close to adding excitement and interest to the film, but eventually it gives up goes off somewhere else. You should too.

Swords and sorcerers meets girl power in an entirely predictable adventure. The dragon is nicely designed. The characters are completely one dimensional. The script was basically a ChatGPT rehash of every other film script featuring evil queens and loyal retainers and fiesty princesses. A waste of time.

America saves the world again, only this time from itself. Standard US military characters have been pulled off the shelf, beefed up with rather good and under utilised robot soldiers, and sent into a formulaic peace keeping operation. The moral dilemma of drone strikes, AI troops and collateral damage never manages to take centre stage, suffocated by average action scenes and unimaginative dialogue. Some good performances and a genuine plot twist or two can't make up for the endless stereotypes. Terrorist seeking nuclear weapons? Arms dealer in a souk? Gruff sergeant? Tough European woman running an orphanage? It's all here.
