For the fans of the first film, unfortunately it does not live up to the original. CGI takes centre stage and visual effects lead the way. The story line is fast and does not carry much depth. Some scenes in the collisium do not portray the true combat of that time and one scene in particular without saying any spoilers is a bit ridiculous to say the least. However Mescal does deliver well and also Denzel and Pescal. For me personally special effects and CGI tell the story and the true gravity of the film which should of been there was forgotten. Overall not great and not terrible. Just bubble gum

Utterly jaw dropingly beautiful. A gift to the world of scifi fans and a reminder to all other genres of the power and captivation that only a film like this can bring.

One of the best films I've seen all year. An original story with breath taking visuals.
