incredibly engaging art style, very eye-catching. Upbeat music kept audience retention high, as it fit the mood and the tempo correspondingly. Unique storyline set this movie apart from many similar animated movies. Very enjoyable characters, except for one grandaughter in particular. the only thing bad about this movie was that it ended too early. The birds were incredibly realistic, it was difficult to discern them from reality. The acting was surreal, the emotion and the wordplay made it feel as if we partook in the movie ourselves. The sudden jump cuts were not awkward, they simply enhanced the overall watching experience. Not knowing when they would cut the scenes kept us on our toes. Wish the ending was longer, the birdwatching scene was only ~one minute long, would like to see another hour dedicated to it. A horrible plot, splits off from a zombie apocalypse survival to a thriller survival, the main protagonist was incredibly unlikable, particular scenes make your blood boil by the sheer stupidity of the character's actions. The only saving grace for this movie was the animation and occasional detailed shots. Great voice acting, aside from the crying scenes, which were drawn out far too long. - M&T Reviews
