I have just finished Vultures in the Wind. I was so moved by this book, I now have an appetite to read about apartheid, and try to understand why the human race is so driven by greed. Having got to the part where Luke was murdered in such a horrendous way, the affect the book had on me was quite profound. I found myself waking in the middle of the night with Luke in my head. I prayed that the world could be rid of tyranny and greed. I have read all the Brigandshaw Chronicles and am now making my way through The African Book Collection. I have enjoyed them all, but Vultures in the Wind is a masterpiece
