Trying not to spoil too much.
Personally not my thing. There's a lot of inaccuracies to the original story of the games, and most of the movie felt like 'who gets custody of a child.' The movie even sends the message of "Let go of the past and what happened. Time to focus on the now."
The actor they got for William Afton didn't fit, as William is supposed to be British and more on the skinny lanky side. Not to mention William is supposed to have three kids in the original story: Michael, Elizabeth, and the Crying Child. I didn't expect the movie makers to get everything right, as FNAF is one of those things that can be all over the place. But there's a basic lore that I thought should've been looked into before writing the movie. Than again, it was from the producers of M3gan, which dropped my hopes for the movie. It also seemed like Foxy was the main threat. Not Freddy. There's not even a phone guy.
I liked the animatronic scenes as I found them to be very cute and pretty sweet, but they didn't show up as much as I would've hoped. There's also a springlock suit that doesn't even exist in FNAF. Most of the lore felt like it was stripped away and this was just slapping "FNAF" on a horror movie title.
I'm not saying you can't like it. It's just not for me.
