I hadn't been so anxious to see a new TV program since the Jetson's, but I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed with the Wonder Years premiere.
Elisha Wiliiams' contagious smile lights up the screen, and I expected to see his performance be as exciting and uplifting as the short preview clips that ABC provided it's viewers for the past several months. Instead, the script was overwhelmed by negativity and depressing overtones in almost every scenario.
I'm hoping that the writers will lighten up on the heaviness, despite the fact that there is already an obvious plot to involve the daughter in some part of the Black Panther movement.
