The American viewing public were lied to in regard to the 1950โs quiz show 21. It was a huge sensation at the time, however, in retrospect why isnโt this event actually that shocking or scandalous? Paraphrasing the famous final scene from Network in 1976: โBecause itโs on television, dummy.โ
