Watch the Today Show , pretty much, everyday. But today's episode of the plane that needed to be landed by a passenger was very personal to me. I've never been in that situation, but the pilot having an aeortic aneurysm and hearing about his last few minutes of consciousness is very personal to me. My daughter suffered an aeortic aneurysm in May 2020 (right in the middle of the pandemic.) She was working out in the office when her husband found her unconscious on the floor. She was released from the hospital in July 2020 after numerous surgeries and rehabilitation.
She could never tell us what happened that night. The nanny cam shows her earlier in the kitchen having a normal conversation with her husband and then her husband finds her on the floor in the office. Hearing about the pilot and his words ( something is not right. I have a headache and things are getting fuzzy) helps me understand what happened to my daughter that night.
It is such a blessing that the passenger could land that plane safely . What are the odds? But knowing the odds of surviving an aerotic aneurysm, the man that landed that plane in time for the pilot to get help and survive the aneurysm, makes him a double hero in my book.
My daughter will be 37 in September. September is Brain Aneurysm awareness month. Maybe another episode in September with the pilot and his hero?
