Let Him Go may be a fictional story, but Gladstone, North Dakota is a real place and nothing like the movie portrayed. It is not located near the Badlands. A Native American or anyone else cannot just keep a horse until someone claims it, or live in a shack in the Badlands, on someone's property, or Government property. The Bismarck Indian School closed many years before that character in the movie would have been born. There is no General Hospital in Gladstone, ND. The movie gave a very bad impression of the good people who have lived in Gladstone for many generations. The lack of research by the writer made this movie unrealistic.
